For several years now, my work has been involved in and with sound. I like sound for what it has in common with the living. It is born, propagates and dies. Another will follow, never exactly the same, neither in its form nor in its behaviour. Similar to the living, and more precisely to the human being, because, like him, sound is conquering. Weak or powerful, it has this claim to go where it can. Even if it has to make room for itself by overcoming obstacles, it invests and defines spaces, for a time. On its own scale, sound has a great resilience in its vain existence. It is a pretext for talking about us.

Hearing being sleepless, it permanently shapes, consciously and unconsciously, our experience of the world. But our era is generally extremely noisy. Various pollutions, such as hyper-media and instant
access to it, constitute a thick atmosphere in which we navigate.
Our senses are surely suffocating, slowly atrophying.

It is therefore very often by capturing the silences of the places in which I exhibit, that I seek to create a time in which the distortion of the real (sound) becomes an appearance of poetic materiality. These experiments with sound, which sometimes set themselves up as borrowings from a scientific aesthetic, tend to leave the results obtained as mere suggestions.

These (sound) artefacts become witnesses of what we cannot observe during our absences. They are attentions to the boundaries between our passive senses and an active materiality of the world. Sound is an expanse, my work attempts to find perspectives in it. An encounter of phenomena and their possibilities.
